Little Egret

Rode to Newborough Fen this lunchtime to be greeted with the lowest diversity of birds I can remember seeing here. Targets would be Grey Partridge (didn't even see a Red-leg), Corn Bunting (no buntings at all), Stonechat (nope) and Little Egret (no herons at all). The hotspot along Drain Road failed to even produce Grey Wagtail or Green Sandpiper. However on leaving there was a Little Egret feeding distantly in the Car Dyke south of Gunthorpe Road.
